Hip Circle Empowerment Center relies on the energy of our awesome volunteers to keep all the operations moving forward. We know everyone has different things to juggle that have an impact on their availability. From working as an Admin to serving on our Board of Directors, all the women involved play vital roles in making and keeping our services available to ALL women & girls. You can serve as a volunteer in one or more of the following ways:
Work-Study Admins – If you have administrative, retail, or customer service skills, serving as a Center Admin may be right up your alley! With three volunteer position categories, there is likely something that will fit your schedule. Take a look at our volunteer application for more info!
Committee Members – If you’re interested in being a part of the behind-the-scenes work of defining and implementing programs, doing outreach in the community, helping us spread the word, or writing grants, serving on one of our committees may be the right fit for you! Joining is easy – Visit this page to learn more about joining committees.
Board of Directors – If you are a leader, board service might be the next step. Our Board of Directors is charged with guiding the organization towards realizing our mission & vision. Strong board members apply their personal and professional expertise to the big decisions about how we move forward, as well as participating in fundraising to ensure we have the budget we need to get the work done. It is our goal to maintain a board of directors that is made up of women as diverse as the community we serve. Visit this page to learn more about Board Service.
Men’s Auxiliary Board – Volunteering with Hip Circle Empowerment Center isn’t limited to women – our Men’s Auxiliary Board needs you, too! The planning is underway for the 2nd Annual Baked Goods & Bourbon event and could use additional support. Email us to get involved.
