Hip Circle Studio, Inc. Celebrates their Fifth Anniversary
Community-focused dance & fitness studio for women clears a small business milestone
Evanston, IL: Hip Circle Studio has achieved a significant small business milestone by reaching its 5th anniversary! Hip Circle Studio opened its doors on June 1, 2010. It has been and remains a vibrant Bellydance and fitness studio that aims to make health and wellness accessible to ALL women – inclusive of all ages, weights, and shapes – through a variety of classes, workshops, and events led from a place of acceptance and celebration of uniqueness and strength.
Of reaching this milestone, Hip Circle Studio’s owner, Malik Turley, said, “It feels wonderful to be able to celebrate our 5 year mark in a community I’ve called home for most of my life. The community of strong women that has formed at the studio is just amazing – I’m looking forward to what we can all do together in the years to come.” Maike Van Wijk, a member of the studio, said, “I joined Hip Circle Studio in May last year and since then Malik has enhanced my life by inspiring positive thinking and community connecting. I started going to the studio to get into shape, but the sinuous moves of bellydance are about more than muscle isolation. Through the process of teaching Malik provides empowerment and body acceptance.” An anniversary party is planned at the studio from 7:30 – 10 pm on Saturday, May 30th.
