For the last eleven years, HCEC has been a safe space for women of all ages, backgrounds, and economic statuses. It helps span societal boundaries to create shared experiences. Through dance and fitness, women are empowered to joyfully inhabit their bodies. Through personal and professional development, women are empowered to courageously accomplish their goals. Through involvement in the studio community, women are empowered to confidently make their voices heard. In one student’s words:
“Hip Circle Empowerment Center makes a difference in women’s and girls' lives. I can honestly say it changed mine. Through dance, I learned more about how to be comfortable in my body and am making peace with some of my personal challenges around body image.”
In planning for the next eleven years, HCEC is committed to broadening our geographic reach and providing equitable and inclusive programming for women and girls. In the face of COVID-19, we pivoted to offer all classes and workshops via Zoom, maintaining opportunities for our students to move their bodies and come together in community. As of January 2021, we have made all of our programming “Pay What You Can” to eliminate financial barriers for participation. During this time, we have expanded our student base within and beyond Chicagoland and hope to continue this momentum.
Your financial support will allow us to further innovate and create ways for ALL women and girls to build strength and come together in community, virtually and in person. HCEC is a registered 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
Supporting HCEC shows our community that you and your business also promote the values of raising and empowering women and girls to thrive, through the strength they find within. We look forward to your partnership!
Have a business? We’d love to talk with you about our corporate sponsorship opportunities for the event!
